Why You Should Choose Wireless Charging For Your PS4 Controllers

It’s mid 2020 already, let’s just forget about the cables on this one – if you haven’t considered getting a wireless charger for your PlayStation 4 controller, here are some reasons why you should get one. It’s a safe, fast and easy experience for all gamers.

Wireless chargers are so much better than the standard micro USB cord. Wireless charging gives you a better charging experience right from the start. This charger eliminates cords. Do you hate having to bend down to grab the cord, or do your cords get tangled amongst other cords? Not to mention you have to carefully insert the USB micro charger into the controller the proper way or over time you will put wear and tear on the controller.

Forget it! Wireless charger = No more of that.

Here’s my reasons why this charger is a must for your gaming needs:

  1. Easy to install. It’s less work – just place it in the docking station, and the wireless charger does the rest for you. Once the charger is placed in its new home, it stays there and you no longer have to worry about bending down to grab the cord. Just forget about having to deal with those annoying cords completely! All you have to do is put it on the base and away you go. A clean setup. If you prefer not bending down to charge your controller, you should place the base up higher rather than lower.
  2. Dual charging. Most of these designs seem to charge two controllers at the same time. This is a really nice experience again, without extra cords getting in your way. It’s always handy to have two controllers charged, especially if you’re planning a long gaming session. Nobody wants to stop half way through a game to charge your controller. Another useful feature is that since the charger can be plugged into the wall with an AC adapter, you don’t have to have your console turned on to charge them.
  3. Copper technology. Most of these chargers are upgraded with copper technology rather than aluminum. Copper gives you an overall better performance as it is less resistant than aluminum. This type of technology is better for electronics.
  4. LED Charge indicator lights. Located on the front of the charger, the lights clearly tell you the charging status at a glance without having to touch the controller to find out. The LED lights are bright, but not too bright – just enough brightness to glow in the dark.
  5. Prevents damage. These chargers work very well and don’t use the top of the controller to charge; instead, it uses the Ext. port that’s on the bottom of the controller. This is something. When you charge the controller with the USB in the top port of the controller, it can wear down over time. With this wireless base you won’t have to use the cord anymore – this solves all the weird charging issues with USB micro, such as having to wiggle the cord around to get it going. These problems can be forgotten when using the dock. It also has push mechanism so you don’t have to worry about yanking the controller off the base or falling off the base.
  6. Intelligent protection chips. Charging will stop at 100 % and that’s it. If the controller is left on the base to charge for too long, it will never damage your controller, keeping it protected and safe to give the battery a longer lifetime. No more overcharging. Most of these chargers have overheat, over-currant, over-voltage and short circuit protection. This is amazing, especially for such a small price. What nice features to have – full protection and saves you money in the long run.
  7. Aesthetically pleasing. It’s nice to look at – looks amazing, awesome and it’s super stylish. I can display my controllers while charging at the same time and it looks real good. Like a little alien head or something.
  8. Sturdy. It’s durable and solid but yet small and lightweight. There are rubber feet on the bottom which prevents the base from sliding around and falling, which means less damage. It’s very well built.
  9. Price. It’s so cheap, and well worth the money. You will be suprised by the price for what you get.

Most of these wireless chargers are compatiable with PS4, PS4 Slim and PS4 Pro.

This is the one I got off Amazon:

PS4 Controller Charger, OIVO Dualshock 4 Controller USB Charging Station Dock with LED Light Indicators, Playstation 4 Charging Station for Sony Playstation4 / PS4 / PS4 Slim / PS4 Pro Controller

Finally a device that does the job like it should!

I would give this a 9/10. I haven’t had one complaint about this charger and I’ve been using it for about five months now. It’s worth every cent. Everything I listed above, this charger has accomplished it all. I’ve forgotten it on the base for a day and it’s still working as it should.

Ovio says they have 5 year support, so they must know their product is a good one and that should help make your decision about buying it worry-free. In the long run it will pay for itself.

This charger makes your gaming experience more fun and carefree since it’s such a breeze to use right out of the box.

This wireless charger is amazing for many reasons. If you’re able to – go get yourself one!

Dollarama Find: PlayStation Gaming Tee

Dollarama Tech & Game Finds
Canada

Official Licenced Product: Playstation Buttons Tee
Short Sleeve T-Shirt // Unisex // 100% Cotton
Size: Large
Price: $4
Company: Makerwear

Attention all Canadian gamers! I found this shirt at Dollarama that you might want to bring home to add to your gaming wardrobe! It’s black with PlayStation controller button faces (triangle, circle, cross, square) in white print on the front.

My review: Upon opening I could feel that the shirt is very thin, but that doesn’t mean anything. It fits very comfortably, it’s breathable and flexible. I think it fits very well and I would say anyone that finds one of these shirts at such an affordable price scored big!

My research: The back of the box says MakerWear Inc. 2016 / http://www.makerwear.com. I visited the website and makerwear.com is for sale! It seems like Dollarama got these because they went out of business. That would explain why they are being sold at such a good price. I’ve only seen one review on Poshmark about this product and it said the print on the front was cracking and fading.

I like the shirt so far, but we will see what happens after a few washes!

Just In Time for Summer: Kick Off Your Summer Right With A New Update From Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Free Summer Update: Wave 1

When will Nintendo release the free update available to download? Launching July 3, 2020 – so you’ve got some time to get your island prepped exactly how you want it for ocean life! I have read a lot about players getting bored of the game and looking for something new. Well here it is! ❤

Exciting right? I’m a newbie and just when I thought the New Horizon escape life was already pretty sweet, now it’s gonna be even sweeter. So get ready to dance your way into the new update that will be ready for you in only 3 days! That’s this Friday, so all week we finally have something good to look forward too! 🙂

Are you ready to read what’s new for your personal island paradise? Let’s get to it!!!!

Your island oceans are opening up: The ability to go swimming AND diving around your island. Swimming out to the sea will let you meet up with a familiar face: Pascal the sea otter and he just might have something in store for you once you find him. Apparently, you will need a wet suit in order to dive in. Once you have your wet suit on, the sea is officially all yours to discover and explore.

Live it up in sea world and you will catch some new sea creatures – anemones, eels, scallops and even more to donate to Blather’s museum.

I went to the museum to talk to Blathers about the new update. But Blathers was sleeping, so I took a pic while Blath was sleeping. Hopefully resting up and getting ready for Friday!
I’m glad I brought these fine fish in. I love looking out the window at them.
Scenery from the museum.

Mr. Pelican Gulliver himself will get a new clothing style. Apparently he is getting a new pirate look and he will be giving players an unknown “special reward” for lending him a hand. Well, that should be interesting… I really want to help him, but I still haven’t found any of his communicator parts yet. 😦 I don’t even know where the hell he is right now, so this should be fun when I do find him!!

Tanabata Holiday: Celebrated by Japanese on the 7th of July, this holiday will also be celebrated in this new update. It’s not known if this will be a wordwide thing, or if items will be available worldwide, but I hope so! I think that would be a pretty cool experience for a day.

This update will also give you some new DIY crafts and mermaid themed DIY recipes straight to your inbox.

I can’t wait to try it out, I’m ridiculously hyped for this update. I love that feeling when you hop onto things in the game so I can only imagine what jumping into the water will be like. I just started playing about 3 weeks ago and really hoped to at least dip my feet into the water, only to find out I couldn’t. So this update will be pretty special for me. I’m also wondering if some of the characters will get some new lines, it gets pretty boring hearing the same old stuff.

But that’s not it!! There will be a returning feature…stay tuned for Wave 2, planned to come out early August! Dude, Animal Crossing literally has our summer set. Life in 2020 sure has been a bit insane, but don’t worry, Animal Crossing’s life simulator will help you escape, and I’m sure it will only get better and better!

Shoutouts to Nintendo for developing and publishing such a great game just in time for these difficult times.

Take care!

N64 Jumper Pak: What is this thing?

I was going through a box of gaming stuff I bought when I came across this interesting gadget. I wondered to myself, what is this thing and what does it do?

This is a Jumper Pak for Nintendo 64, it came preinstalled in the console, and it turns out that it doesn’t really do much. According to my research, all this thing does is fill the memory expansion port so that the system works. The Jumper Pak tells the system that the only memory available is the basic 4 MB it comes with. Without it, you won’t get a picture when you turn on your N64.

If you buy an Expansion Pak, which adds an extra 4 MB of memory, you have to pop the Jumper Pak out using either the Jumper Pak Ejector Tool or a small spoon. Then you can insert the Expansion Pak in its place and enjoy the extra memory.

I had no idea this was hiding inside the console. Maybe you didn’t know either. Isn’t it interesting what you can find in a random box of electronics?

Gaming: Creating Your Game Character/Appearance

Some people don’t care about this stuff, while others just love it and dive right into it. Some also might say there’s not enough customization options out there but depending on the game, I think there’s just enough and is improving day by day.

Video game character creation is just pure awesome. Why? Because they can be wealthy, poor, slick and cool or just nasty. You aim for a drastic new look. Clothing choices that will blow your mind sending you on your way looking fresh and flashy. Hairstyles short and long and some good lookin’ ‘staches you might dream of wanting in real life. You get to choose how you roll. Ah, game personality – your game character has flaws, good, bad and ugly. ALL IN ONE WORLD of your choice.

Isn’t that what we deserve? You can escape to your own little world where you can play however you want, have whatever you want and could ever need. Correct me if I’m wrong but damn, we don’t get NEAR anything in life like this for a small price and however much time you put into it.

Video games have come a long way. Today’s graphics are so swell you can literally feel like you are in the game.

This is what makes video games fun. Especially if you have the right TV and audio setup going on.

Game world is fantastic! And by the time you are ready to turn the game off you feel good about your accomplishments and can’t wait until the next time to do it all over again.

Here’s my character from one of my favorite games – Red Dead Online.

LeAmbre – 50 % Angel 50 % Hitman

So, what character are you gonna be? What path shall you choose. . .
