Screen Cleaner Review: Bryson Screen Cleaner Kit

We use screens every day because screens are part of our everyday lives. I don’t know about you but I really can’t stand a dirty, smudgy screen. Not only is it gross, it is hard to properly see the screen. Dirty screens can affect your eye site and we don’t want that. I have used several cleaners and while some have been good, I have had bad experiences where the cleaner scratched my devices or just made them much worse.

In this blog post I am reviewing the Bryson Screen Cleaner. It covers all of your digital screen needs completely. You will never have to buy another product again, your money is safe with Bryson – this product is exactly as advertised.

My review = 9/10 – It is literally the best screen cleaner on the market!
Why do I give this product such a great review? It’s just amazing on all of my devices!
Check it out for yourself

The good: It’s effective on all of my devices – all it takes is just a little squirt on the cloth and it’s totally clean which makes this product last a long time. It does a really good job. It makes me think they are more interested in making customers happy rather than robbing their money. The bottle is the same size as a Windex bottle.

This product is SO FANTASTIC and I would be sad if this company went out of business because they really know how to make a good product.
I use it on my iPhone and iPad but I especially love using it on my TV. It gets really dusty in only a couple of days where you can see the specks of dust. After a good wipe it looks new and fresh again.

The bad: This product is very expensive, but worth every penny since you only need to use a small amount. When it comes to a good screen cleaner that promises it works, price shouldn’t be an issue. What’s more of an issue is buying products over and over again that waste your money, don’t work and/or damage your products.

Make sure you follow instructions and do not spray the screen directly, and do not use paper towel. I find cleaning my screens in circular motions help to get that deep clean. If followed correctly you will see beautiful results.

I’m so glad I found a great product that satisfies me and works every time!
I would highly recommend it and I hope it helps your eyes feel better when looking at your screens!

Buyers Tips – Reliable Phone Cases: What I Recommend For Your Smartphone Apple or Android Devices

Your smartphone tags along with you everywhere you go. Do you drop your phone often? Are you up for an adventure if your case doesn’t do the job protecting it from falls? Or… do you even believe in case protection at all?

What is your idea of the perfect phone case? What makes you choose the perfect one?
Is it.. Protection? Durability? Looks? Comfortability? Price? What do you specifically go for when you want to dress up your phone? Maybe you aim for them all but can you find one that does it all?

The real question is, what SHOULD you be looking for when buying a case if you’re serious about protection? Price doesn’t matter – you need to pay attention to certain details when looking for this stuff and sometimes it’s tough.

Here are some keywords to look for when shopping for a reliable case:

Durability
Protection from impact
Dual layer
Grip
x foot drop protection
Military grade protection
Shock barrier

Everything else you get is just an extra bonus 😉

Let’s start with the packaging – what does the packaging say about the case? This can tell you a lot about the product… have a close look at it. Get to know the brand. Does the packaging do a good job of advertising the product? If the description looks like it’s done up quick or there’s not much of one at all, but the case looks pretty and dope while also looking sorta thin and cheap – it probably is and it might not protect you fully. You should have something reliable.

Look to see if it would be slippery in your hands or slide around on a surface. Does it look like cheap plastic? Can you see any grips on the back? It should have a slightly thick-ish solid rubber to protect from falls. That’s what really prevents your device from being damaged. This is what I mean by not worrying about the price. At Dollarama they sell different cases for iPhones and some of them seem to be decent enough for the price. Before you buy it, have a look at the company – check out what they got going on Google. The case should have a thicker edge and look like it’s got some grip on the back. If you can spot these two things, you should be good to go. Don’t worry, you can cheap out on some of these. If you buy the right one from Dollarama, it will do a decent job. These are okay to buy. I mean, not everyone can afford a somewhat expensive phone case.

Often when devices see the tech trainers, it’s because of shattered screens. If the phone drops and it lands on the corner, it’s definitely going to smash or crack the screen. Certain cases do a great job at protecting against these things. If the case doesn’t have a pre-installed built-in screen protector, you should consider tempered glass for maximum protection.

My new favorite smartphone company is Speck and I think I will be sticking with them. When I look for a case, I want something that offers solid grip and good protection, but I also appreciate having a colorful design. I need a case with a good grip that feels comfortable in my hand since I use my phone for hours on a daily basis. It’s a good feeling when you find an honest brand to know your device is safe from falls. I’ve had so many phone cases, I’m tired of dealing with new ones.

Candyshell Grip — Designed For Impact
Drop-tested: Meets or exceeds military standards
No-slip grip: Raised rubber grips for secure hold and confident control
Dual-layer impact protection: Exterior layer disperses impact while interior layer absorbs shock
Bezel screen protection: Raised bezel protects screen from impact

This company seems to be promising. I decided to look on Twitter to see what the latest tweets were under keyword “Speck case” and I came across someone’s tweet that said they had dropped their phone from a three-storey apartment and their phone survived intact. That’s crazy good. Their device was being protected with Speck. So yeah, it’s got to be good.

You don’t have to be, but you should be slightly concerned if your phone isn’t fully protected. These devices are super expensive; who wants to spend extra money and waste time dealing with problems caused by accidental falls? Certainly not me – I do care about my sanity. Are you one that has spent numerous dollars on smartphones because of accidents? Think about it, some of these phones are just as much as rent for the month. You break your phone accidentally and you end up having to buy a new one on top of paying all your other bills. Investing in the right protection for such a valuable device seems like a wise decision to me.

Removing Your PopSocket From Your Device

Items needed: 2 microfiber cloths, dish soap and a small flat screwdriver

  1. Start by placing your device upside down on top of the microfiber cloth so your screen doesn’t get damaged.
  2. Insert the small flat screwdriver on the base where it’s sealed on and start pulling upwards.
  3. Slowly insert the screwdriver all around the PopSocket lifing upwards so the seal becomes loose. (don’t apply much pressure and be extra careful)
  4. Once the socket is off, apply some water and dish soap to the other microfiber cloth
  5. Keep wiping in a circular motion until all the adhesive comes off and the back looks nice and clean again

There you have it, done with no damage and it can now be transfered to your new device! claps

PS: Don’t forget when you remove your PopSocket to place it on your new device within at least 15 minutes so the gel doesn’t stand a chance to dry out!

PopSockets: Getting A Grip

A PopSocket is a weird looking plastic circular gadget that you attach to your phone and devices, and they are VERY popular around the world. These gadgets have many uses like helping you out by getting a better grip on your phone to make it easier for you to take pictures and text, and you can prop it up on any surface while you kick back and relax. When pulled out, the socket opens up like a spring. Once your fingers are placed between the PopSocket and your device, you should instantly notice a tighter grip.

I got the PopSocket because I find my phone is a bit heavy and if I’m using it for too long my wrist and fingers start to hurt because of the positioning of my hand on my phone. Also, if I’m laying down and use my phone it tends to slip through my fingers and land on my head or chest. I know, kinda silly right? 🙂 So, if you find either of these things annoying like I do you might want to get yourself one of these babies.

In the past I’ve used fake pop sockets and they WEREN’T VERY GOOD. After just a few months of usage, the adhesive came off and the design started to fade, making it look like some crap. This is my first real PopSocket and I noticed there were some instructions, but not in-depth instructions. Like, should you clean the back of the device before applying? Where should you apply the socket, and little things like that. Apparently, you are just supposed to know how to place it on, but with a little common sense you should be good to go. To help you out, I put together some tips to think about before applying your PopSocket.

Questions, questions, questions!

So, you’ve got the PopSocket – now some important questions you might be wondering after reading instructions.

With or without a case? It can be applied to either, but I strongly recommend a case. Without a case you might have a difficult time removing the PopSocket, which could lead to damage and markings especially if you try to sell your device.

Positioning: Decide where to place before applying. In the middle, high or low? Before you mount the gripper on to your phone, try placing the socket in different spots to see if it’s more comfortable between your fingers and hand when it’s placed in the middle, higher or lower.  Getting comfortable with it before placement will protect your fingers and wrist so you want to make sure it’s not uncomfortable for you.

Should you clean your device before applying? Yes, for sure. Wipe the back of your device with some rubbing alcohol and let it dry before applying.

What you need to know before applying? According to the website, once the PopSocket is applied, firmly press down and leave it for at least 8 hours. Doing this will make sure the adhesive is securely attached to the surface, ensuring it will work even better. My advice is to apply it before going to bed so the phone won’t be touched.

What devices will the socket stick to? It’s compatible with most smartphones, cases and tablets. Keep in mind PopSockets may not stick very securely to waterproof cases, silicone or leather.

How to apply? Easy – just peel off the protective seal without touching the adhesive, then apply very carefully and make sure it looks even.

Can the PopSocket be reused? No, so you might want to carefully choose where you put it.

Why you should get a PopSocket:

  1. Have you ever been lying in bed and boom, all of a sudden your phone smashes into your face? Get a PopSocket and get a grip!
  2. No more holding your phone when watching a quick video or playing a game, just place it on the table.
  3. If you own a business, they are perfect to give out!
  4. Wireless charging compatible.
  5. Surface feels smooth when holding.
  6. Browsing experience and overall experience is much better when holding.
  7. Snap the perfect selfies.
  8. Control earbud cord by just wrapping it around the PopSocket.
  9. Lots of customization options – you can use your own image, or choose from the range of options and looks. You can even add another PopSocket for even more grip.

POPSOCKETS!!!!!!

The Debate Between Smartphone Batteries

Some say iPhone is better, some say it’s Android. Which one is better and how do you really know?

I have used iPhone, Samsung and Blackberry devices, and from my experience I would say that your battery really depends on how you are using your device. And I do believe that battery (mAh) capacity is also important.

If you are looking to get a phone with a really good battery, I would go for the highest mAh battery capacity when choosing a Smartphone.

Smartphone brands mAh

Here are a few examples

iPhone 8 –  1,821mAh

iPhone 8 Plus – 2,675mAh

iPhone XR – 2,942mAh

iPhone 11 – 3,110mAh

iPhone 11 Pro – 3,046mAh

Samsung Galaxy S10 – 3,400mAh

Samsung Galaxy S9 – 3,000mAh

Google Pixel 3 – 2,915mAh

Google Pixel 4 – 2,800mAh

Google Pixel 4 XL – 3,700mAh

BlackBerry Key 2 – 3,500mAh

But do you really think your smartphone with a higher mAh makes a difference? A higher mAh doesn’t mean you are going to get the best battery, it just means it will be slightly better. Just because you have a higher mAh doesn’t mean you will get the best battery at all times. It really depends on how you are using your device.

If you’re good to your phone, it will be good to you. I hate having to run to an outlet when I see that my battery is low. It’s annoying especially if you had already charged it that same day. Who wants to keep charging their smartphone ALL THE TIME? I need my battery to last longer. Here’s what I do to get the most out of my battery life, and you can too no matter what device you are using.

  1. Make sure you are running the latest software. This makes a big difference especially if the new update has battery performance improvements.
  2. Be careful where you are using your smartphone. Too hot or too cold temperatures can affect your battery. By this I mean don’t use your smartphone in the direct sunlight, or in extreme cold weather conditions. If you need to use your phone outside on hot or cold days, use it with headphones of some sort and keep your device in your pocket to fully protect it from damage.
  3. I don’t use my smartphone for video like YouTube or watching movies. The screen is way too small and it takes up so much of your battery. Why bother straining your eyes while you’re losing power at the same time?
  4. Close your apps every time you put your phone down – I always close my apps when I’m done using them.
  5. Keep the brightness down. Or make sure auto brightness is enabled.
  6. Disable the apps you are not using all the time. (Bluetooth, GPS) If you are in an area with poor reception turn your device off until you get better reception and if you need to keep your device on, try using it with Wi-fi instead of cellular data.
  7. When your device starts to slowly die, put it in energy saving/battery mode to keep as much battery as possible.
  8. Don’t let the device die completely – when your device drops down to about 30% you should charge it. If you plan on storing your phone for backup, don’t store it under 50%; you should make sure the phone is 100% before tucking it away.

If you find you are still losing too much battery power or are not satisfied, get a portable battery or case.

Reserve battery juice – don’t let it drain!
