If you’re not already aware of the brand Blackweb, it’s trademarked by Walmart. I was searching for a decent stylus pen because I recently watched a video on smartphone radiation. After watching that video I decided it would be better to touch my phone as little as possible.
I found this Blackweb stylus/pen 2-in-1 at Walmart for $6.98. I didn’t look up any reviews, I just bought it hoping it would do exactly what it is designed to do and if it doesn’t I still would have a classy looking pen.
What the back of the box says:
•Use as a traditional pen to write in your notebook
•Use as a touch stylus for your tablet and smartphone devices
•Rubber tip glides smoothly across touch screens
•Clip provided to attach securely to a folio for travel
•Compatible with most touch screen devices
My review: 5/10
I found that using the stylus on my iPhone 7 was not a very good experience at all. It just doesn’t seem to respond and you have to press a little harder on the screen just to get the page to move/respond. I did test it on my iPad and it seems to respond much better and it seems a lot more comfortable to use and a much better experience.
I was very interested in seeing what the reviews on this product had to hold, just to make sure it wasn’t just me. It turns out, half say it works as it should while some of the reviews experienced what I did, where the pen feels too firm and it seems to be that the stylus is too hard to properly function well. Someone even mentioned they had to pound on the screen just to get a reaction. That was exactly my problem when I tried it on my iPhone, but like I said, it was a much better experience on my iPad. The stylus does a fine job responding to the screen and it does glide smoothly like it says.
If you’re wondering if the pen works very well, it does. I love using this pen to take notes while working. It’s nice to have a pen feature for quick notes. While holding and writing with the pen it does feel a little heavier, but it is very solid and comfortable. The ink also runs very smooth with a fine tip. I wouldn’t purchase this for your smartphone, but if you’re looking to use this stylus for your tablet I think it should do the job.
And if it doesn’t then you still have a classy pen that flows nicely!
Nice try, Blackweb, you made an attempt with this one but it just didn’t turn out as expected!
